Technical method

From metal substrate to finished surface

Morya Jewellers manufactures jewellery and related articles in gold, silver, and other precious metals, as well as base metals clad with precious metals. Each piece follows a defined sequence in which the metal is formed, the stones are seated, and the surface is brought to its final finish.

Precious and semi-precious stones are combined with metals and other materials, so the same workflow governs single-metal pieces and mixed-material articles alike. The result is a controlled process from alloy to finished facade.

Production sequence

Four linear stages

01

Alloy preparation

Metals are prepared to specification before forming begins, establishing the base material for every subsequent operation.

02

Precision cladding

Precious metal skins are bonded onto calibrated base metal substrates, held to uniform thickness across the piece.

03

Stone seating

Precious and semi-precious stones are set into the metal using prong, bezel, channel, or pavé settings suited to the design.

04

Polishing and finishing

Surfaces are finished to high-polish, satin, brushed, or textured faces, completing the tactile character of the piece.

Metal forming and setting

Tolerance at every join

Metal forming and stone setting are governed by tight tolerances. Each cladded substrate and each seated stone is checked against the specification before the piece moves to finishing.

Close-up examination of metal surfaces and stone mounts shows the fine detail on which the manufacturing standard depends.
